The information we collect and how we use them
Riptos collects information in two ways. We automatically collect technical information such as: IP address, device characteristics, operating system, browser type, type of connection, page and image viewing statistics, and incoming and outgoing links. This information is used to improve the user experience and/or our website services. None of the automatically collected information is associated with any identified person at the time it is collected, but it can be associated with you under two circumstances:
- If you choose to give us personal data about you as described below, the technical information we collect that would otherwise be anonymous could instead be logged as coming from you.
- If we are required to disclose our server logs as a result of a subpoena or other legal process, some third party such as your internet provider could match our anonymous technical information with you, using information beyond found on our servers.
Riptos collect personal data you choose to give us. These information are name, address, email address and profile information. We use these information in a lot of ways, such as: identification, communication and more. We consider such information as “Personal Data”, and we take extra steps to protect them. However, we do not consider any data (text, images, videos, etc.) linked to or from our site, or share via a social networking or promotional function, as “Personal Data”.
You may correct, amend, or delete inaccurate Private Data information you have given us. For legal reasons we may retain backup and/or archival copies of information prior to your corrections, amendments, or deletions.
Any information, such as credit card information and any information used to prevent fraud, given during the payment process is stored and processed by our third-party payment processor, and is not subjected to this Private Policy. They are, however, subject to their private policy. As such, we encourage you to read their private policy.
If you, as an EU-citizen, want to exercise your right to know what information we have stored about you, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
However, there are some cookies that are exempt from the consent requirement, and therefore cannot be blocked. These cookies are as follows:
- Technical cookies strictly necessary for the provision of our service. These include preference cookies, session cookies, load balancing, etc.
- Statistical cookies managed directly by us (not third-parties)
- Anonymized statistical third-party cookies
